Design Director Michael Lawton tells me:
"Sleek, soaring jets have long symbolized the promise of the future at PopMech. Taking a cue from our March 1968 Concorde issue, this month’s cover features its spiritual successor: the Supersonic Green Machine.
Its Developed by Lockheed Martin and NASA, the concept plane could be efficiently flying at Mach 1.6 as early as 2030. Sort of retro in its use of just cyan and red."
