Nancy explains her artwork: The briefing was to "Illustrate ‘‘550’’ in an unexpected way.
Since ‘‘unexpected’’ was directed I veered away from a more conventional 3-D solution and instead took a two-dimensional approach with a hint of depth. The typographic illustration suggests railings, chairs, windows, and floorboards—with color blocks offering an array of paint possibilities—using graphic segmentations to evoke a sense of interconnectedness."
